New to Netflix this month is the comedy crime series “The Gentlemen,” created by Guy Ritchie and starring Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, and Joely Richardson. A spinoff of Ritchie’s 2019 film, the show follows James as he inherits an estate that is now home to a marijuana-growing empire. A short film about two Irish swindlers is casting for its April 27 and May 4 shoot in New York. Production seeks a supporting male actor, aged 18–28, to play Jodie and a supporting female actor, aged 45–65, to play Pamela. Both roles pay a flat rate of $300–$400 for an estimated two days of work.

“Make Over”

A short film about a makeup artist who robs by changing his appearance is casting for its April and May shoot in New York and Connecticut. Production is filling multiple roles, including a supporting female actor, aged 20–40, to play Daphne, a supporting a male actor, aged 18–40, to play Andy, and a supporting male actor, aged 18–40, to play Daniel. The roles pay $75–$150 per day for an estimated eight days of work.

“Family Portrait”

A student film about a dysfunctional family dinner is casting for its April 6–7 shoot in Philadelphia and potentially New York as well. Production is filling multiple roles, including a lead female actor, aged 18–25, to play Jimena, a lead male actor, aged 23–35, to play Marcus, and a lead female actor, aged 18–25, to play Kaleigh. All roles pay $120–$160 per day for an estimated two days of work.

Detective Comedy Sketch Ep. 1

A comedy sketch short film is casting for its April 21 shoot in New York. Production seeks a lead female actor, aged 25–45, to play Julie, a lead female/male actor, aged 25–45, to play Detective Brown, and a lead female actor, aged 25–55, to play Officer Cameron (NYPD Uniform). All roles pay $25 per hour for an estimated six hours of work.

A crime scripted show is casting for its April 25–May 2 shoot in the Los Angeles area. Production is filling multiple roles, including a lead female actor, aged 18–30, to play Lucia Patrick, a lead male actor, aged 18–25, to play Simon Christopher, and a supporting female actor, aged 18–30, to play Laura Garfield. The roles of Lucia Patrick and Simon Christopher pay $300 per day for an estimated seven days of work. The role of Laura Garfield pays $200 per day for an estimated four days of work.
