Lionsgate isn’t wasting any time getting Suzanne Collins’ latest “Hunger Games” installment, “Sunrise on the Reaping,” onto the big screen. The prequel film is due in theaters on Nov. 20, 2026, and the casting has been ramping up, with Elle Fanning, Kieran Culkin, and Maya Hawke some of the star-studded film’s latest additions. If you’re looking for your own action, sci-fi, or drama project like “The Hunger Games,” now’s the time to audition for the following gigs.

“Hillcrest A.I.”

Studio Yolanda is seeking cast and crew for “Hillcrest A.I.,” a feature film that follows two graduate students as they attempt to disrupt the A.I. landscape, only to have their code stolen and their loved ones threatened. Two male actors, aged 18–35, are wanted to play the starring roles of Alex and Clark. Talent must be based in the U.K. and have a valid passport. Production is also hiring multiple crew roles, including an assistant director and a director of photography. Pre-production begins in summer and fall, followed by filming this winter in the U.K. and North Africa. Pay is $100–$200 per day for crew. All other rates are TBD via a profit share.

“Turning Point”

Monkey King Productions and Transatlantic Films are seeking talent for “Turning Point,” a short film set in war-ravaged America where a hardened survivor must battle through hostile territory to rescue his thirteen-year-old niece from a ruthless nationalist faction before she’s lost to their cause forever. Two actors are required for the lead roles: a young female actor, aged 10–15, and an adult male actor, aged 30–60, to play Amanda and the antagonist, Zeke. Talent will work on Aug. 21–26 and one additional date in September TBD in Seattle, Washington. Pay is $100 per day for up to five days of work with IMDb credit provided.

“Her”

Casting is underway for “Her,” a short action-thriller about a female serial killer who hunts rapists when the legal system fails to deliver justice. A male actor, aged 30–45, is wanted to play the lead role of Nick, the lead male role. A stunt experience is preferred, and talent will work with a stunt coordinator to choreograph a fight and death scene. Talent will work in late July or early August in NYC. Pay is $200 per day for three days of work with meals provided.

“Chasing Light”

Neymarc Visuals is seeking talent for “Chasing Light,” a gritty, emotionally charged survival drama set in a world where an endless cloud has plunged NYC into darkness and following Leo, an 11-year-old boy who embarks on a dangerous mission to find his cast-out brother and to capture enough light to power their home and reunite his family. Two male actors, aged 18–28, are wanted for the lead role of Leo and a supporting role. Talent will work in November (or mid-January/February 2026). Pay is $5,000 for up to 30 days of work.

“Celestial”

Visionary Film Productions is seeking talent for “Celestial,” a sci-fi/action film. Actors aged 4–60 are sought for various roles in the feature, including the supporting role of Jack Callahan, an officer and single father to a teenage daughter. Filming will take place this fall in Birmingham, Alabama. Pay is $150–$600 per day for day players and $250–$735 per day for the supporting role, exact rates TBD. “Feeling Lonely?”

Keon Reza Films is casting “Feeling Lonely?,”  a dystopian sci-fi thriller set in Tokyo, year 2032, where a heartbroken programmer in dystopian Tokyo finds dangerous solace in an advanced AI companion whose protective instincts spiral into deadly obsession. On-camera and voice actors, aged 18–35, are wanted for several roles, including the lead roles of Bernard and the android Sofi. Production is also hiring multiple crew positions, including a production designer. Rehearsals will begin this summer, followed by filming in September or October over three days in Tokyo. Pay is $300–$2,000 with meals and accommodations provided.

“Electric Love”

Slabtown Studios and Nohko are casting talent for the sci-fi/apocalyptic “Electric Love,” the third film in Nohko’s eight-episode “The Anthology.” Three actors, aged 17–60, are wanted for the two lead roles of James and Lucy, two teens who meet in an online help forum, plus a supporting role. Filming is scheduled for July 25–27 in L.A. Pay is $150 for the lead roles; the supporting role is unpaid. Lunch, copy, and credit will be provided.

“The Liquidators”

Casting is underway for “The Liquidators,” a short film set in the cinematic universe of “LINE” and part of a dystopian sci-fi world where individuals are branded with a geometric shape from birth, tasked with maintaining societal tension and fear. Actors, aged 21–45, are wanted for various lead and supporting roles in the film. Filming will take place in Riverview, Florida. Pay is $1,250 for seven days of work. Talent will also film an individual micro-short film (1–2 minutes) that will be unpaid.

“Eclipse”

Join the cast of “Eclipse,” a visually striking, emotionally intense sci-fi short film set in a dystopian world divided by ideology and technology. Actors, aged 22–55, are wanted for various lead and supporting roles in the film. Multiple roles will require staged fight scene work, where a fight choreographer will be present to train. Rehearsals will take place in Los Angeles, followed by filming in early fall in Alabama Hills. Pay is $175–$250 per day for up to five days of work with airfare and accommodations provided.

“Vagabond Home”

Join the cast of “Vagabond Home,” a post-war short film set in a bleak, dust-swept wasteland littered with the remnants of endless war following Murry Culpepper, a scavenger burdened by survival, and Elsie, a hardened, stoic surveyor, who are tethered to a massive, unseen system by a literal wire. Three actors, aged 20 and older, are wanted for the two lead roles and a supporting role. Filming is tentatively scheduled for over four days in September in Denver, Colorado. Pay is $300 per day, with on-set meals/snacks, gas/travel reimbursement, lodging, and copy provided.

Untitled Vertical Sci-Fi Series

“Glass Stars,” Table Read 

CatheXis Films is seeking talent for a livestreamed table read of “Glass Stars,” a speculative sci-fi series based on the 2021 novella and the previously published 2006 short story of the same name. Two male actors, aged 50 and older, are wanted to read for supporting roles. Production is also filling crew positions, including a co-director, director of photography, and more. The livestream is scheduled for Jan. 11, 2026, in Seattle, Washington. Actors cast for table reading may choose to join the pilot project once it is funded, which will be filmed in Seattle, Las Vegas, and/or Palm Springs in late 2026. Pay is $75–$125 for the table read with pilot rates TBD.
