New York is the city that never sleeps, and with so many events and activities each week across all five boroughs, it can be hard to know what’s actually worthwhile. Here are the events New York City actors should have on their radars this week.

Viola Davis wants to share her career advice with you.
This is one all actors and fans of great acting alike won’t want to miss: Emmy, Oscar, and Tony Award winner Viola Davis will head to the 92Y on Nov. 13 to discuss her life and career, as well as winning the triple crown acting awards (the first black woman to ever do so). The conversation will be part of NPR presents, and will be led by “All Things Considered” host Audie Cornish. (Tickets start at $50)

Spend an evening with a legend.
From one record-setting lady to another, don’t miss Audra McDonald in both performance and conversation at the Town Hall on Nov. 12. The most Tony-winning performer in history as well as the only to receive Tonys in all four acting categories, McDonald will be joined by Broadway’s official emcee Seth Rudetsky, and will sing a dozen songs from her illustrious career, interspersed with personal stories along the way. (Tickets start at $52)

Drink in the fall while you still can.
Sometimes you just need to throw coolness to the wind and embrace fall basicness—and that time is now. More specifically, that time is now at Cider Week. Through Nov. 11, you owe it to your autumnal desires to stop by at least one event during the annual affair, which is produced by the New York Cider Association and is intended to cultivate appreciation for NYC’s diverse cider offerings. There will be fermented events throughout Manhattan as well as in other boroughs, some of which have an entry fee of exactly $0. (Prices range)

“A Chorus Line” returns to New York City.
All will be just a bit more right in New York City when “A Chorus Line” returns to its stages for a very limited time. The 2018 installment of the annual (and always flashy) City Center Encores! gala will see the Marvin Hamlisch musical presented Nov. 14–18 at the Mainstage. The cast will be filled with a number of Broadway bonafides including Jay Armstrong Johnson, Tony Yazbeck, Ryan Steele, and more. (Tickets start at $50)

Get a (free) taste of Broadway.
Because any opportunity to see Broadway for nothing is worthwhile, head to the Shops at Columbus Circle on Nov. 12 for this year’s Broadway Under the Stars. As in years past, every Monday night through Dec. 10 will see performances from some of the most popular shows currently running on Broadway, no tickets required. This first show will include performances from the casts of “School of Rock,” “Kinky Boots,” “Anastasia,” and “Be More Chill,” with a number of additional shows slated for future weeks including “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Wicked,” “Mean Girls,” and more. (Free)
