“Homeland”
Head back once more into Showtime’s “Homeland,” as filming for the final season is currently in progress in L.A. After the series finished airing its seventh installment last April, the show was renewed for its eighth and final season. If you’re in Downtown L.A., expect to see production crews in and around the Los Angeles Theatre. Starring Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin, the series began in 2011 and initially followed a CIA agent who engages a prisoner of war in a dangerous game of cat and mouse after she suspects him of being turned by a terrorist organization. Rupert Friend, Maury Sterling, F. Murray Abraham, and others also star. Season 8 will premiere Feb. 9, 2020. Judy Henderson has been the casting director for most of the series, but Rose Wicksteed will work on the final season. While you wait for the premiere, read about “Homeland” director Lesli Linka Glatter and Danes’ collaboration process here!
