It seems that HBO Max (whose future is uncertain) is edging ahead in the streaming wars—at least if the 2022 Primetime Emmy Award nominations are any indication. The streamer and its parent, HBO, earned a combined total of 140 nominations, leading all other networks. An impressive 14 of the recognized series are exclusively streaming on the platform, including HBO’s “Succession” and HBO Max’s “Hacks.” Close behind is Hulu, which earned a record total of 58 nods for originals including “Dopesick” and “Only Murders in the Building.” And thanks to its streaming relationship with multiple networks, you can also watch a host of other Emmy-nominated titles on the platform.
