“Yellowjackets” fans got an early gift this year. Ahead of its second season, Showtime renewed the hit thriller series for a third season. “Yellowjackets” was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and, per IMDb, follows “a wildly talented high school girl soccer team [that] becomes the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness.” Its first season received widespread acclaim, leading to seven Emmy nominations, including Drama Series, Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Melanie Lynskey, and more.
Lynskey co-stars with Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Steven Krueger, Warren Kole, and Kevin Alves.
