These screen, stage, and voice projects need talent in the UK right now, so sharpen your self-taping and audition skills and get busy. 

Oral care with £8,000 buyout casting performer
Louise Mason of Mark Summers Casting is seeking a performer for an oral care commercial. The part is for a female, 25–45, with Black or mixed heritage; and crucially, the need to have demonstrable dental work or dentures from a single tooth to partial or full dentures that they are comfortable removing. They also need a valid passport and must be willing to fly. An American accent is not essential, though is preferred for the VO. The project shoots 8–13 August in Poland and the role is paid a session fee of £400 per day, plus per diems, travel, and wardrobe expenses. The role includes a guaranteed buyout fee of £8000. Casting models with disabilities
Able Model Management is collaborating with Intimately, a lingerie brand for the disabled community. The pair are casting an inclusive photo shoot and seeking female models, playing ages 18–40, and any ethnicity. Models with visible and invisible disabilities are welcome as the shoot aims to redirect fashion onto a more inclusive path. The project is run by a female creative team and shoots in late August in Earlsfield, south London. Roles are paid £288 plus travel and the team are seeking performers based anywhere in the UK. Theatre R&D casting BAME female
Physical theatre company StoneCrabs is casting for a new poetic play Chef, about a woman running a prison kitchen, questioning her attitudes to food, relationships, and her life choices. Lead role Chef is female, playing age 20–35 and Black or minority ethnicity with a south-London accent. A background in physical theatre and movement work is preferred, and you’ll need to be a performer open to a collaborative rehearsal process. R&D sessions will be held online via Zoom on dates TBD. Actors are required for seven hours across three sessions, times TBD between director and actor, though performers must be available 5 September. Short film casting hearing-impaired actor
Edicius is an enigmatic short film with a top-tier casting team, Sophie Kingston-Smith from the CDG, alongside an excellent creative team. They are looking to cast a Kitchen Porter, and they state: “We would like to work with a deaf or hearing impaired artist for this role, preferably who has on-set experience and who is a strong physical communicator.” The role is paid and shoots in London in August.
