‘Golda’ Starring Helen Mirren + More UK Projects Are Greenlit

The following UK projects are now visible on the horizon, whether they’re in development or actively casting. Keep these leads on your radar and your eyes open for the opportunity to land an audition.

Surprised by Oxford
This drama follows the brilliant but guarded Caro, who arrives in Oxford with the single goal of getting her Ph.D. But then a friendship with a charming young man brings her out of her shell. Just entering pre-production now, the film is set to shoot in early 2022, and casting director Kate Ringsell is attached.

A Town Called Malice
This new Sky crime series follows South London family the Lords, and is set in the 1980s between the UK and the Costa del Sol. The project shoots from November this year in the UK, and then in Tenerife from January 2022. Casting director Daniel Edwards is attached. 

Golda
This biopic is about Golda Meir, Israel’s only female prime minister, played by Helen Mirren. The film is written by Nicholas Martin (Florence Foster Jenkins) and directed by Guy Nattiv. Shooting is set for late November, and casting director Alex Johnson is attached.
