These projects are casting for talent in the UK right now, so sharpen your self-taping and audition skills and get busy.

BFI short casting Black actors in London

BFI Network short film Beats Rhymes and Time is a time travel musical casting for supporting roles ahead of shooting next month. Joyce is female, playing age 40–50, and Black. Otis Gully aka Gully Boy is male, playing age 20–30, and Black. The team are seeking a performer who can rap. Corinne is female, playing age 35–40, and Black. The team are seeking a performer experienced in street dance. Preacher is any gender, playing age 18–60, and Black.

Music video casting nationwide

A music video centred on mental health is casting for two female performers. Girl #1 is female, playing age 18-33, and any ethnicity. She’s struggling, is easily upset, and has low energy. Girl #2 is female, playing age 18–30, and any ethnicity. She begins as bouncy and enthusiastic but the mask drops to reveal someone sad and blank. You’ll need to be comfortable lying in water which may be cold. The video shoots on 15 September in the Peak District and roles are paid.

Feature seeking South Asian performers 

Legendary CD Shakyra Dowling is casting two roles for feature film Buckingham Murders. Following a woman who moves to a small English town after losing her son, the thriller is set within Indian and British Asian communities. Lead role Sunny is male, playing age 5–9, and Asian. An English-speaking child. Rajvir is male, playing age 9–16, and Asian. Recently adopted from India, he speaks Hindi fluently and speaks English with an accent. The project shoots in Kent this October and roles are paid.

Product video rush casting in London

A short for a conferencing product is urgently casting paid supporting and background roles ahead of shooting in London next week. The team are seeking a female (inclusive) performer, playing age 30–65, and any ethnicity to play an interviewer. They are also casting Client; female (inclusive), playing age 30–55, and any ethnicity. Plus background extras; any gender, playing age 18+, and any ethnicity. Filming takes place on 30–31 August and 1–2 September.
