Paddington 3
Long-expected but now officially announced, Paddington 3 is entering pre-production. This is the third instalment of the beloved story of the eponymous bear from Peru and his adventures in London with the Brown family. Hugh Grant did a star turn as the villain in Paddington 2, though it’s not yet known who will lead the cast. Filming kicks off in early 2022 and, as she worked on the previous two films, it’s very likely that casting director Nina Gold will be attached.

The Chelsea Cowboy
Leon Butler’s true crime feature The Chelsea Cowboy is entering production this autumn. Based on the life of John Bindon (played by Alex Pettyfer), an on-screen hard man who lived a double life as an actor and real-life gangster, the film is exec produced by Idris Elba and director Ben Cookson is attached alongside casting director Alex Johnson. Shooting in London is set for late September.
Firebrand
A much-anticipated psychological horror film from Killing Eve screenwriter Henrietta Ashworth and actor Jessica Ashworth, Firebrand is set in the Tudor court and is the English-language debut of celebrated Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz. The film follows Katherine Parr, the last of Henry VIII’s six wives, played by Michelle Williams. Production begins in early 2022 and Nina Gold is attached and casting now.
How to Audition for Netflix in the UK Update: Better
The new series from Humans writers Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent is still in pre-production ahead of a slightly revised autumn kickoff. A redemption drama following a corrupt detective undergoing a painful moral awakening and putting right 20 years of wrongdoing, shooting begins in late October in and around Leeds, and casting director Sonia Allam is attached.
