These 4 ITV Dramas are Greenlit + Soon Casting

The following UK projects are now visible on the horizon, whether in development or actively casting. Keep these leads on your radar and your eyes open for the opportunity to land an audition.

Tom Jones
Henry Fielding’s novel Tom Jones is being adapted for an epic ITV drama by screenwriter Gwyneth Hughes, who adapted Vanity Fair  (pictured above) for the channel. The story follows an illegitimate son, his love for a woman beyond his station, and all the scrapes it gets him into. The four-part drama doesn’t have any cast attached as yet but is due to shoot in September on location in the southwest. Casting director Susie Parriss is attached.

McDonald & Dodds 3
A third series of ITV crime drama McDonald & Dodds is going into production later this year. Following the unlikely duo as they take on a set of new cases, the series begins shooting in August and casting director Susie Parriss is attached.  

Update: The Confessions of Frannie Langton
ITV and Drama Republic have set their production schedule for murder mystery story The Confessions of Frannie Langton, an adaptation of the award-winning debut novel by Sara Collins. Set in Georgian London, the four-part drama follows Frannie, a young woman born into slavery in Jamaica who travels to London and finds herself accused of murder. 11 weeks of shooting is set to begin in late July, and Kharmel Cochrane is attached to cast.

Update: Grace 2
ITV crime drama Grace is going into production this summer. Creator Russell Lewis’ seaside police procedural returns with stars John Simm and Richie Campbell. Three feature-length episodes shoot on location in Brighton and around the south coast from 16 August. Casting director Daniel Edwards is now confirmed to be attached.
