UK actors, crew, and creators – here’s the lowdown on what’s filming big and small across the country. Stay in the loop and be sure to check back every week for projects currently in production in the UK with Backstage’s What’s Filming reporting.

The social season is upon us: Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton is back. Cast members of the Shondaland drama, which follows eight close-knit siblings of the Bridgerton family as they look for love and happiness in London high society, have recently been seen around the capital. Season 1 stars Jessica Madsen and Nicola Coughlan, plus new cast members Melissa Advani and Priya Kansara, were spotted in new shots and videos from the set of Season 2 in London at the Old Royal Naval College at the University Of Greenwich, as shared on social media by Bridgerton fan account @bridgertonseriess, TikTok user @dresi.g, and more.

The series, based on the book series by Julia Quinn about Regency London, was renewed earlier this year after becoming a darling of social media and binge-watchers of all forms. Season One starred Phoebe Dynevor, Rege-Jean Page, Coughlan, Adjoa Andoh, Ruby Barker, Sabrina Bartlett, and more. Season 1 lead Rege-Jean Page will not return for the second season, but all other series regulars are expected to return, with new cast members including Advani and Kansara joining. And what a long run it might be: there are eight books in Quinn’s book series, and creator/showrunner Chris Van Dusen has already said he hopes to tell stories for all of the Bridgerton siblings. Find out how you can audition for the second season of Bridgerton, and then find out from our interview with series casting director Kelly Valentine Hendry what is the one mistake you should avoid when auditioning for the hit series.
