‘Bridgerton’ 2 + More UK Series are Greenlit and Casting Soon

The following UK projects are now visible on the horizon, whether in development or actively casting. Keep these leads on your radar and your eyes open for the opportunity to land an audition.

Bridgerton 2
Netflix’s Regency romp Bridgerton has been given the green light for a second series, with shooting set to begin this spring with a host of returning cast members. Casting director Kelly Valentine Hendry is also very likely to be returning.

Bulletproof 4
A fourth series of acclaimed Sky police drama created by and starring Noel Clarke and Ashley Walters is in pre-production. Detectives Bish and Ronnie return for eight more high-octane episodes, with shoots planned for this summer. Casting director Rob Kelly is attached. 

Chloe
New BBC TV drama written and directed by Alice Seabright (Sex Education) that explores grief, identity, and truth through the eyes of a young woman obsessed with her late friend. Shooting in and around Bristol from 12 April, casting director Lauren Evans is attached.

Update: You
Sky’s adaptation of Zoran Drvenkar’s bestselling novel has rescheduled filming for this year. The Capture writer Ben Chanan spins the novel into an eight-part series following Tara, a woman who kills her estranged father in a drug-fuelled rage and flees across Europe with her best friend in tow. The series shoots from April in the UK and Germany. Casting is by Daniel Edwards and Guilt director Robert McKillop is onboard. 

Update: One Life
Shooting has been delayed for One Life, a feature based on the story of Nicholas Winton, a British banker who saved hundreds of children from the Nazis. With director Aisling Walsh (Elizabeth is Missing) and stars Anthony Hopkins and Johnny Flynn attached, production is set for May, on location in the UK and Prague. Casting director Nina Gold is attached. 

Update: Father Brown 9
The ninth instalment of light drama Father Brown is to film later this year, following the adventures of a crime-solving priest played by Mark Williams. Shooting has been rescheduled for mid-April, and casting is by Julia Crampsie.
