These ITV, App + Film Projects Are Now Casting for UK Actors

These screen, stage, and voice projects need talent in the UK right now, so sharpen your self-taping and audition skills and get busy. 

English learning app casting speaking roles
Creative agency Box Media are casting speaking roles for an English-learning app. Ahmed is male, playing age 30–45, with a Moroccan, Middle Eastern or multi-racial background. He’s a CEO who grew up between Paris and Rabat, went to business school in London and now lives and breathes his job. Michelle is female and white, with a playing age between 50–65. Articulate and analytic, she’s a former entrepreneur who is now a psychologist and counsellor. The project records in central London for one day 21–23 April and the role is paid £250 per half day of filming. The team are seeking an actor based in London and able to travel to Zone 1. Docudrama series casting lookalikes
Casting researcher Eleanor Palmer is seeking lookalikes for an episode of ITV docudrama series Autopsy focusing on the life of American actor Andy Griffith. Mature Andy is male, playing ages 55–86, and white, around 6’1”, with grey hair, blue eyes, a warm smile, and a portly figure. You’ll need a full clean driving licence, be able to drive a 4x4, and may be required to smoke herbal cigarettes. Middle-aged Andy is male, playing ages 32–59, and otherwise as above. Cindi Griffith is female, 48–69, and white, with blonde hair, green eyes, glamorous, and with a larger figure. Roles are paid £250–£400 per day and the project shoots 2–5 March within the M25. Student film casting lead and supporting roles
Students at Raindance Film School are casting short experimental film Hair of the Dog. Lead role Peter is male, playing age 25–40, and of any ethnicity. Tired, subdued, and repressed, he’s “full of longing,” which he is trading for intoxication. Supporting role Dean is male, playing age 25–40, and any ethnicity. Tidy and laid-back, he cares for Peter, though there’s only so much he can do. The project shoots mid-April in London and roles are paid Equity minimum, plus travel and meals provided. Student short casting in Devon
University of Plymouth short film Drip Drop, a drama with comic elements about a boy and girl stuck together in a car, is casting for male and female leads. The Boy is male, playing age 18–30, and any ethnicity. A past trauma has made him “emotionally unavailable.” The Girl is female, playing age 18–30, and any ethnicity. She’s trying to move on from a past relationship by seeking out connection with one-night stands. Both roles may require affection and moderate intimacy. The film shoots for four days, exact date TBD, in Devon. Roles are paid a flat fee of £100 plus credit, travel, and food. The team are seeking performers based in and around Plymouth and Exeter.
