These BBC Light Dramas Are Greenlit + Casting Now in the UK

Death in Paradise 10
A tenth instalment of BBC crime drama Death in Paradise is to begin filming this April. DI Jack Mooney, played by Ardal O’Hanlon, will tackle his last case in soon-to-air Series 9 before handing over to new star Ralf Little to head up the island police for Series 10, alongside returning co-star Aude Legastelois. Death in Paradise often hits the top three most popular shows in the UK, and it’s been a global success too, with many watching around the world on Netflix. Shooting for the new series begins in April 2020 on location in Guadeloupe and casting director Sacha Green is attached.

Father Brown 9
Another series of light drama Father Brown is to film this year, exploring the further adventures of a crime-solving priest played by Mark Williams. Shooting begins in late April and casting director Julia Crampsie is attached and casting now.
