“Garfield” Animated Feature Casts Brett Goldstein and Bowen Yang
Two comedic powerhouses are about to make Mondays a little bit better. “Ted Lasso” star and writer Brett Goldstein and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Bowen Yang have joined the ensemble cast of the upcoming Sony Pictures animated “Garfield” feature.
Goldstein and Yang will join the previously announced cast that will be led by Chris Pratt and also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult, Hannah Waddingham, Cecily Strong, and Ving Rhames.
In addition to the highly anticipated third season of “Ted Lasso,” Goldstein recently appeared in Marvel’s “Thor: Love and Thunder” and is also the co-creator of Apple TV+’s forthcoming “Shrinking.” As for Yang, he most recently appeared in Billy Eichner’s “Bros'' and the Hulu feature “Fire Island,” with “Please Don’t Destroy” and “F***ing Identical Twins” on the horizon.
Paul A. Kaplan and David Reynolds (“Finding Nemo”) are adapting the comic for the screen. Barbara Harris is in charge of the ADR voice casting for the film.
