Nominations for television’s biggest night are in! Jeff Hiller (“Somebody Somewhere”) and Liza Colón-Zayas (“The Bear”) presented nominations for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on Wednesday, July 8. 

HBO's hit hospital drama "The Pitt" leads the way with 25 nominations, including Noah Wyle for both lead actor and directing the episode "12:00 P.M.", as well as supporting nods for ensemble members Patrick Ball, Shawn Hatosy, Gerran Howell, Taylor Dearden, Fiona Dourif, Katherine LaNasa, and Sepideh Moafi. 

Meanwhile, the fifth and final season of "Hacks" made history with 24 nominations, the most ever for a comedy in a single year. The series' nominations include outstanding comedy series, Jean Smart in lead actress, Paul W. Downs in supporting actor (Downs was also nominated for writing the finale), and Hannah Einbinder and Megan Stalter in supporting actress. 

This year's list of Emmy hopefuls includes 28 first-time nominees, including Karolina Wydra for "Pluribus" (supporting actress, drama), Connor Storrie for "Saturday Night Live" (guest actor, comedy), Kate O'Flynn for "Widow's Bay" (supporting actress, comedy), and Chase Infiniti for "The Testaments" (lead actress, drama). 

Here’s the full list of nominees for major categories at the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards. The ceremony will take place Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT on NBC, hosted by Mariska Hargitay.
