Greenlit means a project is officially a go, so all you have to do is follow these leads to stay up to date. You never know where you’ll find an opportunity to land an audition.

Despite a rough couple of months for Henry Cavill, he’s found a new gig. The former “The Witcher” and “Superman” star is leading and executive producing a “Warhammer 40,000” franchise at Amazon. Learn more about the Amazon Studios project and Cavill’s involvement, below.

Henry Cavill Is Finally Making A “Warhammer 40,000” Franchise

After securing global rights, Amazon Studios and Cavill have partnered to create a “Warhammer 40,000” franchise across all Amazon Studios productions, including series, films, games, and animation projects. In an Instagram post, Cavill confirmed the news, expressing his 30-year dream of “seeing a ‘Warhammer’ universe in live action” and his plan “to guide a Warhammer Cinematic Universe into life.” The next steps, according to the actor, are to find the series’ creative team.

The exciting news comes after a couple of tumultuous months for Cavill. At the end of October, news broke that Liam Hemsworth would be taking over Cavill’s starring role in Netflix’s “The Witcher.” The move came partly because Cavill would be stepping back full-time into the role of Superman—following a cameo in DC’s “Black Adam.” But just last week, after a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran, Cavill announced he, in fact, would not return as Superman. Instead, a new “Superman” pic is in the works without Cavill’s attachment.

As for Cavill’s new project, it’s unclear which type of “Warhammer” project will come first. However, we do know that Vertigo Entertainment will produce the “Warhammer” series with Amazon, Cavill, and Games Workshop.
