Bollywood gets its own #MeToo Moment.
Last week after former Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta retold a story of the sexual harassment of a co-star, a number of Bollywood performers took to social media to support Dutta and tell their own stories. Over the weekend a list of over 70 well-known men accused of sexual misconduct was released online and more names continue to emerge. (Washington Post)

Jessica Biel to star as the lead in podcast adaptation “Limetown.”
Following the newest Hollywood trend of adapting podcasts into series, Biel has confirmed that she will be starring in “Limetown.” The 10-episode adaptation will be written by the podcast’s original creators Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie and will be aired on streaming platform Facebook Watch. Snapchat to create its own original shows.
In an attempt to lure users back, Snapchat is creating a variety of original shows known as Snap Originals. The launch is part of an effort to encourage younger users to watch TV-quality videos on their phones rather than just on TV. (AXIOS)

Margot Robbie will star in the Barbie live-action movie.
The live-action Barbie movie, which was originally in development at Sony, has moved to Warner Bros. where it is rumored that Robbie will be playing the role of Barbie. Both Anne Hathaway and Amy Schumer were previously tied to the project as potential Barbies but backed out for different reasons. (Deadline)

Netflix is opening a production hub in Albuquerque.
As production space has grown increasingly sparse in Los Angeles Netflix has made the decision to open a production hub in Albuquerque. The studios will be used for the production of three new titles: “Daybreak,” “Chambers,” and “Messiah.” New Mexico offered Netflix further incentive to open the studio after providing them with $10 million in funding, a further $4.5 million also came from the city of Albuquerque. Lady Gaga could star in Broadway revival of “Funny Girl.”
Rumored to be following in the footsteps of Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga may play the role of Fanny Brice in a Broadway revival of “Funny Girl.” This comes shortly after her big screen debut “A Star Is Born” made a whopping $43 million in its first weekend of screening. (Backstage)

Hulu is creating a Wu-Tang Clan series.
“Wu-Tang: An American Saga” will be a 10-episode series following the formation of the New York City hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. The series will be created, written, and executive produced by Alex Tse (“SuperFly”), Wu-Tang member Method Man will also executive produce while the other members will serve as consulting producers. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Alicia Vikander will star in the upcoming Gloria Steinem movie.
Vikander is currently in negotiations to star in Julie Taymor’s “My Life on the Road,” a film based on Steinem’s memoir. If Vikander goes forward with the project this will make her the second Oscar winner to be featured with Julianne Moore already confirmed to play Steinem. (Deadline)
