Heartstopper
Netflix has picked up cult comic series Heartstopper by Alice Oseman for a major new series, shooting later this year. A romantic drama that explores coming out and mental health, Heartstopper tells the story of Charlie and Nick, two boys who meet at school, become friends, and eventually fall in love. The project is directed by Euros Lyn (His Dark Materials) and set to film all eight episodes from late April. Casting director Daniel Edwards is attached.

Showtrial
Six-episode BBC drama Showtrial follows the arrogant daughter of a wealthy entrepreneur who is arrested following the disappearance of a fellow student. Exploring how wealth, politics, and prejudice impact a murder trial, the series is by Spooks writer Ben Richards and director Zara Hayes is on board. Shooting in Bristol from late April, casting director Daniel Edwards is now confirmed as attached.
Major UK Casting Directors: How To Get on Their Radar Day 1’s
Entourage creator Doug Ellin and Kingsman producer Matthew Vaughn team up for an epic drama series exploring the world of premiership English football. Following young player Dezmond as he struggles with growing fame, the series is exec-produced by Thierry Henry, who also stars as himself. Currently in pre-production and with no streamer or broadcaster yet announced, the project begins shooting this summer and casting is by Kelly Valentine Hendry.
