Feature film casting for South Asian female role
Feature film Bell Bottom follows a group of intelligence officers on a mission to save hostages from a hijack. Casting director Rachita Kapoor is casting the role of Neetika Sharma, female, playing age 18–30 and of South Asian heritage. The captain of the Indian Kabaddi Team, she’s travelling to New York for an upcoming match when the plane is hijacked. A true leader, she’s physically strong, fearless, and willing to fight if needed. The role includes action sequences and you’ll need to have a valid UK driving license. Bell Bottom shoots 18–20 days from mid-July onwards and the role is paid £2,700–£3,000, or £150 per day. The team are seeking performers based in London. London lifestyle shoot casting playing ages 38-52
Casting director Fiona Watson is seeking models and performers for a stills and video shoot of lifestyle scenarios around painkilling gel Voltaren. Because of lockdown, the team are seeking real couples and flatmates to take part. Females, playing ages 38–52, and any ethnicity, to be having a ladies’ night. Men, with playing ages 38–50, and any ethnicity – you’ll be playing a game of basketball with a socially distanced crew. The project shoots for one day between 24–26 June in London and roles are paid £850, including a buyout for one year online only. The team are seeking performers based in London. British Asian music video casting in London
Indie production company Red Guerilla Films are casting for a British Asian music video shooting in London this month. The role is for an ethnically Asian or Arabic male lead, 18+, to star in the video, which shoots at an apartment in Soho on 21 June. UK short film casting in Bristol for female role
Writer and director Pierre Niyongira is casting for upcoming short film Kid Sees Ghost/Spirited made by Calling The Shots. The story follows Micheal, a man who can see ghosts and encounters the forgotten slaves whose spirits roam the streets of Bristol. The team are casting for supporting role Dinah: female, playing ages 30–55 and black. A runaway house-slave, she’s a freethinker, overcoming the master/slave narrative, devoted to bettering herself and lives as an example of freedom and integrity to others. Please note: the role is non-verbal. The project shoots in Bristol this June, with dates TBD because of lockdown. Roles are paid £100 a day plus travel and meals provided.
