Feature film Steal Away tells the true story of the Fisk Jubilee Singers, a group of former slaves who created a choir and toured the world, finding fame and success while a race war still ravaging their homeland. The team are casting two leading roles. George is male, playing age 50–60, and white. A dreamer with faraway eyes, he crusades against the KKK but must also face his own demons. Ella is female, playing age 18–25, and black. Brilliant and pensive, Ella is a musical prodigy who suffers no fools. Please note: this role requires a performer who can sing. The project rehearses this autumn and shoots late 2020 or early 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia and in the UK. The team behind a music video for artist Royal are seeking a female performer to play the lead female role in the project. The project requires a female, 18+ and non-white. You’ll need to be able to play a range of emotions, from elated to upset. The video shoots 23 June in London and the role is paid £100 for a one-day shoot, plus travel, food, and refreshments. Short film Reverse Catfish explores the world of dating apps and follows a handsome man who tries to find true love by making himself appear ugly on his profile photo. A joint US and UK project from experienced producers, the film is casting for a number of roles. Here’s a quick breakdown: lead role Christopher is male, playing age 18–24 and any ethnicity. With classic good looks and a toned body, he’s gay, confident, popular, and has a big heart. Please note: there are several scenes of topless nudity and some same-sex intimacy. You’ll also need to have some experience playing football. Supporting role Foster is male, playing age 18–24 and any ethnicity. He’s an athletic, good-looking man who is shallow and believes the world revolves around him. Please note the role includes one out-of-focus nude scene and the performer will need some basic football skills. Performers are paid up to £100 per day, depending on roles and requirements. The team behind a project with award-winning choreographer Wayne McGregor are casting for a body double of ABBA’s Agnetha Fältskog. The role is for a female, playing age 20–27, with professional experience of singing, movement, and dance. You’ll need to be a body-double for Agnetha, though matching hair colour and face are not necessary. The project rehearses for four weeks in autumn 2020 and has a four-week shoot.
