Paramount+ is expanding its original slate with “Girl Taken,” a six-part limited series based on Hollie Overton’s 2016 bestselling novel “Baby Doll.” Starring Alfie Allen (“Game of Thrones”) and Jill Halfpenny (“EastEnders”), the psychological thriller debuted Jan. 8, with all episodes available to stream. Set in a quiet English town, the series centers on twin sisters whose lives are irrevocably changed by a shocking abduction.

“Girl Taken” follows twin sisters Lily (Tallulah Evans) and Abby (Delphi Evans) Riser, whose lives are upended when Lily is abducted by beloved local teacher Rick Hansen (Allen). After years held in captivity, Lily escapes, only to discover that freedom brings its own challenges. As Lily tries to reconnect with Abby and their mother, Eve (Halfpenny), the family is forced to confront the lasting effects of trauma and the chilling reality that Lily’s abductor still poses a threat.
