Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Starz are bringing Cullen Bunn and Jonas Scharf’s graphic-novel series “Bone Parish” to life with a live-action TV series. According to Variety, the rapper and executive producer has always found himself “drawn to stories that break the mold,” which “Bone Parish” does, he claimed. “It takes crime, family, and power, and mixes it with something dark and supernatural, in a way that feels fresh,” Jackson said in a statement announcing the show’s development.
Diane Ademu-John (“Dune: Prophecy”) and Declan de Barra (“The Witcher: Blood Origin”) will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, while Stephen Christy and Mette Norkjaer of BOOM! Set in the dark New Orleans underground, Bunn and Scharf’s graphic-novel series follows the Winter family as they build an empire around a drug made from the ashes of the dead.
