Scheduled for a 2025 release, Prime Video’s “Costiera” stars Jesse Williams (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as an ex-marine who takes up residence in Italy. Filmed last year in Positano and along the Amalfi Coast, the action-drama features an American lead, but as Variety reported, Prime Video’s head of originals for Southern Europe, Nicole Morganti, says it’s a “true Italian story, written by Italian writers.” Like its other action-packed offerings, such as “Reacher” and “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” the streamer hopes to have another hit on its hands when the series premieres later this year.
