We first met Riri Williams, aka Ironheart (Dominique Thorne), in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” where she made a memorable debut as a young genius who built her own Iron Man–style suits. Now, she leads “Ironheart,” Marvel Studios’ newest Disney+ limited series, which picks up after the events of “Wakanda Forever.” It follows Riri’s return home to Chicago, where she finds herself caught between the worlds of technology and magic. Here’s everything we know about “Ironheart” and how to land a role in it.

The six-episode limited series centers on Riri and her evolving friendship with the mysterious Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos), better known as The Hood. While Robbins taps into dark magic through his enchanted cloak, Riri relies on her engineering brilliance to build iron suits that rival Tony Stark’s creations. The series also explores Riri’s backstory and how her experience in “Wakanda Forever” reshaped her identity as Ironheart.
In addition to Thorne and Ramos, the cast includes Lyric Ross as Natalie, Riri’s best friend, and Alden Ehrenreich as Joe McGillicuddy. “Ironheart” was created by Chinaka Hodge and will premiere on Disney+ on June 24.
