The Great 2
Hulu and Amazon have commissioned a second series of acclaimed offbeat period drama The Great from The Favourite writer Tony McNamara. Returning lead Elle Fanning will continue the story of Catherine The Great as she rises to power against the odds in 18th-century Russia. There’s no timeline on production as yet but casting directors Dixie Chassay and Rose Wicksteed are likely to be attached.
Silent Witness 24
The 24th series of BBC drama Silent Witness is gearing up for production this autumn. Returning to the team of forensic pathologists and scientists who crack seemingly impossible cold cases, the series begins shooting for all 10 episodes this September and casting director Andy Brierley is attached.
Guilt 2
BBC Scotland’s cult black comedy series Guilt, starring Mark Bonnar and Jamie Sives, returns for a second outing, with production starting this autumn. Shot on location in Scotland, the second instalment picks up the tale of two brothers who spin a web of lies after killing an old man in a hit and run. Casting director Caroline Stewart is likely to return to cast the second series.
