Docudrama series casting Aretha Franklin lookalikes
ITV’s US docudrama series Autopsy is casting for three Aretha Franklin lookalikes for an episode focusing on the life and death of the “Queen of Soul.” All roles are for Black actors with a strong resemblance to Aretha. Young Aretha is female, playing age 30–40 – a performer who can play the piano, sing, and convincingly play drunk. Middle-aged Aretha is female, playing age 45–55, confident and loud, with a strong resemblance to Aretha’s build at this age. Elder Aretha is female, playing age 65–75, and frailer. The episode shoots for one or two days between 1–4 December in London and roles are paid £400 per day. Casting extras for Danny Boyle project
Two 10 Casting are seeking young supporting artists (extras) for a new project by director Danny Boyle. The team are seeking performers of all genders with playing ages 18–28 and are especially interested in people with great hair, including 1970s hair, mop cuts, rocker hair, hipster hair, outrageous hair, men with long hair and women with short or shaved hair. Experience isn’t essential but a “can do” attitude and good vibes are a must. The project shoots from January 2021 in London and roles are paid professionally. Rush-casting Midlands actors for an interactive thriller (expires soon)
The makers of interactive thriller Save Luna are rush-casting for male and female leads as well as a host of supporting roles. Hosted on Netflix-backed app Whatifi, the film is seeking performers based in or near the Midlands. Martin is male, playing age 30–35, any ethnicity, able to emote well, and with “strong, haunted features.” Mary Anne is female, playing age 30–35, and any ethnicity. Complex and resilient, she was once a revolutionary but now prioritises her daughter. A variety of further roles are available for actors aged 30–60. The project rehearses TBC and shoots 11 January to 12 February in the Midlands. Roles are paid £160 per day or £1000 per week, plus expenses. Educational series casting musical performers
A company behind a series of short online educational videos is looking for one adult and a cast of young performers with musical skills to promote music education around the world. Tom is the teacher at School of Rock – he’s male, playing age 30–40, and any ethnicity. Lead teen role Mia is female, 13–14, any ethnicity, and preferably with a US east-coast accent. Lead role Jack is male, playing ages 13–14 and white. He must have an identical twin who can apply for the supporting role of Toby. The team are seeking a variety of other young roles with playing ages 13–14, male and female of various ethnicities, including and one performer with a visible disability. The short films rehearse and shoot March–April 2021 in southern England. Roles are paid £100 per day, plus £70 chaperone fee and £25 per diem. The team are casting for performers from across the UK.
