Lockwood & Co
This new family-friendly Netflix adventure film franchise, based on the series of novels by Jonathan Stroud, follows a talented young artist who finds herself working as a ghost hunter at England’s least reputable agency, Lockwood & Co. Director Joe Cornish is attached and it’s likely he’ll work with CDs Nina Gold and Jessica Ronane, who have been attached to his previous work, including last year’s The Kid Who Would Be King.
The Rising
Ed Lilly (Industry) directs an eight-part contemporary drama for Sky, shooting in Manchester next year. Plot details are under wraps but the 20-week shoot kicks off from 29 March and casting director Julie Harkin is attached.

Stephen
New three-part ITV drama Stephen is in pre-production ahead of shooting next year. Serving as a sequel to 1999 drama The Murder of Stephen Lawrence, it picks up the story of the ongoing struggle by Doreen and Neville Lawrence to achieve justice for their son. Alrick Riley directs a script by father-and-son team Frank and Joe Cottrell Boyce. Production begins in late February and casting director Jina Jay is attached.
