Casting ‘Approachable Guys’ for a Movember Shoot + More UK Roles

These screen, stage, and voice projects need talent in the UK right now, so sharpen your self-taping and audition skills and get busy. 

Movember shoot
A print and video Movember-themed campaign is looking for “approachable-looking, positive guys with warm facial expressions.” Performers will need to look straight-to-camera, so would ideally have experience of photographic shoots. Importantly, performers need to currently have stubble, or a beard or moustache, and be willing to shave these off on the day. The production would also like to see a clean-shaven headshot taken within the last year. Roles are divided between Younger Guys (20–33) and Older Guys (34–50). They are looking for male performers of any ethnicity. The photographic shoot is 3–4 September, with the video shooting 7–8 September. Audio drama casting host of roles
Audio drama The Tinsel Town Trilogy is casting for a host of roles, with the team looking for people with a vocal resemblance to a number of real-life figures, including Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Ralph Richardson, John Gielgud, Dylan Thomas, Marilyn Monroe, and Laurence Olivier. All performers need to be 18+ and should have a strong vocal resemblance to the character. Performers will need to be able to record from home. Commercial casting homeowners
Shopping and commercials agency Smart Response are shooting testimonials for a vacuum and seeking homeowners to give their honest opinion of the product. The team are casting 6–8 people, playing ages 35+ and any gender and ethnicity. The piece is filmed as an unscripted and informal chat, discussing genuine opinions of the product and why an indoor and outdoor vacuum might be useful. The project shoots for one day between 1–3 September in London, with performers needed for around two hours. Roles are paid £250, including a full worldwide buyout. Docu-drama casting for lookalikes
A one-hour documentary for Reelz USA is shooting in London and casting for lookalikes for metal band Twisted Sister. Following the journey of the band from first gig to filling arenas and a messy breakup, the production will combine high-end stylised reconstruction with archive and interviews. The team are seeking a lookalike for Dee Snider, Eddie Ojeda, Mark Mendoza, and AJ Pero. The roles are ranged between playing age 25–30; please carefully check the physical and performance attributes of each role on the casting notice before applying. The project shoots for one and a half days between 7–11 September in London and roles are paid between £250–£400 per day.

Casting finance testimonials
Production company The Birdhouse Studio is seeking entertaining and confident people from all walks of life to portray clients giving testimonials, speaking directly to camera in a studio. The team are seeking five or six performers, any gender, playing ages 35–36, and any ethnicity – people who look like they fit into a professional finance setting, confident, passionate and charismatic.
