UK Casting: Acclaimed Puppetry Theatre Casting for International Tours

Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the UK. As always, there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations, but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Blind Summit
London-based touring puppet theatre Blind Summit is casting for new puppeteers and performers. Led by director and performer Mark Down, the company tour internationally, work across dance, opera and theatre – all with the aim of making history with innovative puppets and styles.

The opportunity to join the company is open to any actor, physical theatre performer puppeteer or dancer – as the team have found that those with training in physical theatre and dance “take well to puppetry.” They are keen to encourage artists from BAME backgrounds.

Here’s a breakdown of the roles:

Male and female performers over 18 of any ethnicity, with a love of puppetry or a desire to try something new. You’ll need to be physically able or flexible, have an interest in creating and devising new work, be willing to muck in and enthusiastic about touring abroad.

Blind Summit has various contracts across a number of projects running from 2019 to 2020, all paying ITC/Equity Minimum.
