The wait is almost over: “A Quiet Place Part III” is on the way, with John Krasinski returning to write, direct, and produce the next chilling chapter in the sci-fi horror franchise. Paramount will release the film theatrically on July 30, 2027.
Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy are set to reprise their roles alongside returning cast members Millicent Simmonds (“Pretty Lethal”) and Noah Jupe (“Hamnet”). Jack O’Connell (“Sinners”), Jason Clarke (“A House of Dynamite”), and Katy O’Brian (“Love Lies Bleeding”) are also joining the cast.
Krasinski announced the news on Instagram, pairing the post with the “Hamilton” song “One Last Time,” a choice that sparked speculation that the saga may be nearing its final installment. Here’s everything we know so far about “A Quiet Place Part III,” including casting and filming information.

While plot details for the third installment remain under wraps, the film franchise has already cemented itself as a box-office powerhouse. The postapocalyptic thriller films center on a world decimated by blind extraterrestrial creatures that hunt by sound; silence is the only way to survive.
After its 2018 premiere at South by Southwest, the original film earned an Oscar nomination and grossed over $341 million worldwide. Despite pandemic delays, “A Quiet Place Part II” followed suit in 2021, grossing nearly $298 million and earning a BAFTA nomination. Most recently, the 2024 prequel, “A Quiet Place: Day One,” directed by Michael Sarnoski and starring Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn, added $262 million to the tally, bringing the franchise’s total global earnings to over $900 million.
Krasinski is leading the project as writer, director, and producer, teaming up again with his producing partners who helped build the franchise from the start. He and Allyson Seeger (“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War”) are producing under their Sunday Night Productions banner, which has a first-look deal with Paramount. Michael Bay (“Transformers One”), Brad Fuller (“Anaconda”), and Andrew Form (“Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War”) are back as producers through Platinum Dunes.
Production is expected to begin this spring in New York.
