Yeehaw! Production for “9-1-1: Nashville,” a spinoff of “9-1-1” that joins offshoot “9-1-1: Lone Star,” is officially underway. The new Ryan Murphy series stars Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, and LeAnn Rimes, and it follows first responders in the country music capital. This is the second official spinoff of the flagship series produced by Murphy and 20th Television, and it is set to premiere on ABC in the fall of 2025.

What is “9-1-1: Nashville” about?

While plot details are still under wraps, the show’s official logline describes it as “a high-octane procedural about our heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities.” 

One such family is led by Don Sharpe, played by O’Donnell, who, according to Variety, is a fire captain at Nashville’s busiest firehouse and a rodeo driver. Capshaw plays his wife, Blythe, and Michael Provost plays their son, Ryan, who works alongside his father at the firehouse.

Who is attached to “9-1-1: Nashville”?

The casting directors for “9-1-1: Nashville” haven’t been announced publicly yet, but we do know Jenny Alison Casting is on board to help the show find extras.

As for who else is involved with the series, according to Deadline, “9-1-1” creator Murphy is joined by co-creators Tim Minear and “9-1-1: Lone Star” showrunner Rashad Raisani. Brad Falchuk and Angela Bassett (who stars in the original series) are executive producing. If past “9-1-1” shows are any indication, you can expect top-tier casting and a focus on actors who deliver both intense emotional scenes and demanding technical dialogue.
