“Love on the Spectrum” is a documentary-style dating series that follows autistic and neurodivergent adults as they explore the ups and downs of dating, navigating intimacy, conflict, and budding romance. While producers help with logistical details like organizing dates and matchmaking, the crew prioritizes letting events unfold naturally, rather than scripting scenes or creating drama for the plot. Participants receive expert guidance from author and dating coach Jennifer Cook, who helps with positive communication, setting boundaries, and support throughout filming. The series, which is based on the Australian show of the same name, has received multiple Emmy nominations and wins for outstanding unstructured reality program, outstanding directing for a reality program, and outstanding casting for a reality program.
Aside from Cook, each season of the show features new cast members, although previous cast members are sometimes brought back to share updates on their relationships or go on dates with new people. Some of the most memorable cast members and couples from “Love on the Spectrum” include:
- Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman, Seasons 1–3
- James B. Jones, Seasons 1-3
- Dani Bowman and Adan Correa, Seasons 1–3
- Connor Tomlinson and Georgie Harris, Seasons 2–3
- Tanner Smith, Seasons 2–3
- Madison Marilla and Tyler White, Season 3
- Pari Kim and Tina Zhu Xi Caruso, Season 3
- Steve Spitz, Seasons 1–2
- Kaelynn Partlow, Season 1

The show is produced by Australia-based company Northern Pictures for Netflix. Co-creators Holden and O’Clery also produce, with O’Clery casting and directing the series.

Casting for “Love on the Spectrum” is done on a rolling basis, and you can apply anytime via the official application on the Northern Pictures website.
