These Netflix Projects + Other Great Gigs Need Talent Now

Major streamers, such as Netflix and Max, are producing must-watch television series on a regular basis. From “Stranger Things” to “House of the Dragon,” there’s no shortage of critically acclaimed shows being watched— and being talked about. Do you hope to one day star in a hit series? Now is your chance to join a major project by auditioning for one of these gigs. From award winners to new series, here’s our roundup of HBO, Netflix, and more great gigs looking for talent.

Tubi: “Dirty Rose”

Happy Films and FIG Media Entertainment are seeking talent for “Dirty Rose,” a gritty, fast-paced urban drama for Tubi that explores the highs and lows of the music industry, the price of ambition, and the dangerous lines between love and loyalty. Detroit and Michigan-based actors, aged 18 and older, are wanted for lead, supporting, and background roles in the series, including the titular role of Roosevelt, a.k.a. "Dirty Rose," an aspiring rapper with raw talent but no real plan for the future. Multiple roles will require the ability to rap, plus comfort with nudity, including the starring role. Filming will take place in the metro Detroit area through mid-May. Pay is $250 per day for up to seven days of work.

“White Plains”

Roman Candle Casting is seeking NYC-based talent, aged 18–70, to portray 1990s-era socialites and other high-end, fashionable New Yorkers in background roles of a major scripted series (network or streamer undisclosed). Filming will begin in mid-May through mid-October in NYC. Pay is $182–$216.

“Ancient Egypt - Expedition Unknown,” Discovery Channel

Arab American Casting is seeking talent for the Discovery Channel docuseries “Ancient Egypt - Expedition Unknown,” streaming on Max. Middle Eastern talent based in L.A., aged 18–50, is wanted for various roles in historical recreations depicting the building of the Great Pyramid of Giza (circa 2,500 B.C.). No visible tattoos, removable piercings, braces, or modern hairstyles will be permitted. Filming will take place in the desert east of Pasadena on May 16. Pay is $250–$400.

“Tony”

A24 is seeking supporting talent for the upcoming Anthony Bourdain biopic “Tony,” following the late chef in his early 20s and starring Dominic Sessa, Antonio Banderas, and more. Black male talent with real restaurant kitchen experience, aged 18–35, is wanted to play kitchen staff in the feature. No prior acting experience is required. Talent must speak with a Tennessee accent. Filming will take place on May 26–July 4 in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Talent will be paid SAG rates. The film will be released theatrically and will likely stream later on Max.

“The Braxton's: The First Family,” Season 2

ArieCan Productions is seeking talent for Season 2 of the Tubi award-winning series “The Braxton's: The First Family.” A Black male actor, age 35–50, is wanted for the supporting role of Dawson Whitmore, a charismatic and suave gentleman with a mysterious past and a presence that commands attention. Auditions will be held in Baltimore, Maryland. Filming will take place in Baltimore with the dates TBD. Pay is estimated between $1,500 to $2,000 for up to five months of work.

“The Fan House”

Eazy Production is seeking talent for “The Fan House,” a short drama film that will be available on Prime Video, Tubi, Fawesome, and other major platforms about an adult entertainment company plagued by jealousy and murder. Atlanta-based actors, aged 18–35, are wanted for various roles, including leads. Filming will take place on June 13–21 in the Metro Atlanta area. Pay is $50 per day for lead roles; all other roles are unpaid. Meals and snacks will be provided on set.

“Expedition Files,” Season 3

The Discovery Channel docuseries “Expedition Files,” which streams on Max, is seeking talent for recreation scenes. Production is casting L.A.-based actors, aged 18–62, for various roles in the series, including Jimmy Hoffa and other mobsters, teamsters, and more. Filming will take place in L.A. through January 2026. Pay is $20 per hour for one or two days of work.
