If Harry Jowsey is your ultimate reality TV crush, now may be your chance to turn your infatuation into something real. “Let’s Marry Harry” is a new unscripted dating show that follows the Australian heartthrob and former “Too Hot to Handle” winner as he searches for a wife. The eight-episode series is a collaboration between Netflix and Unwell, the media network launched by podcaster and “Call Her Daddy” co-creator Alex Cooper. In addition to producing the show, Cooper is stepping in as one of Jowsey’s confidants to provide guidance and advice on his journey to find a winning match. The show will center around Jowsey, who’s best known for stirring up drama on the Netflix reality series “Too Hot to Handle” and “Perfect Match,” as well as ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” The 28-year-old has had a string of high-profile romances, including with his former costars Jessica Vestal (“Perfect Match”) and Francesca Farago (“Too Hot to Handle”), but is ready to settle down.
Per the official logline from Netflix, Jowsey is done playing the field and is “handing the reins of his love life to those who know him best.” On his quest to find authentic love, Jowsey’s closest friends and family will decide who stays and who goes by choosing his suitors from a group of curated potential matches.
Jowsey will be the leading love interest and focus of the show, with Cooper expected to make regular appearances. No contestants have been announced at this time.
Jeff Sells of Pitman Casting is listed as the casting producer. Pitman Casting and its CEO, Jacqui Pitman, are known for a history of reality TV casting, including “The Golden Bachelor,” “Face Off,” and “Big Brother.”
According to the official “Let’s Marry Harry” casting page, applicants must be legal U.S. residents between the ages of 21 and 33. A call was previously listed on Backstage seeking “intelligent, confident, sassy, marriage-minded women” who are ready for real love. Shooting takes place from Oct. 15 to Nov. 20 at undisclosed locations nationwide and beyond.
