A mysterious new series from Vince Gilligan—the creative force behind “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul”—is headed to Apple TV+ this fall. “Pluribus” stars Emmy nominee Rhea Seehorn (“Better Call Saul,” “Veep”) as an author dubbed “the most miserable person on Earth,” who finds herself as the only one who can stop a contagion from taking over society. The nine-episode series debuts Nov. 7 with a two-episode premiere, followed by new episodes every Friday.
Even ahead of the series premiere, the sci-fi drama has already been renewed for a second season, paving the way for your chance to get involved in future episodes. Here’s everything we know about “Pluribus” so far.

Albuquerque-based author Carol Sturka (Seehorn) is the only person who’s immune to a mysterious virus that causes perpetual optimism and toxic positivity—and it’s up to her to save the world. While details about the plot are slim, Apple TV+ has released three brief trailers that give insight into the show’s tone: one featuring a woman licking donuts and placing them in a box, a second instructing viewers to call the phone number on their screen, and a third showing Carol walking through an empty business park with blood on her shirt.
The cast includes:
- Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka
- Karolina Wydra as Zosia
- Carlos-Manuel Vesga as Manousos
- Miriam Shor
- Samba Schutte
In addition to Gilligan, EPs include Jeff Frost of Bristol Circle Entertainment, Diane Mercer, Allyce Ozarski, Gordon Smith, and Alison Tatlock. Jenn Carroll and Trina Siopy are co-executive producers. “Pluribus” is produced by High Bridge Productions (Gilligan’s company) and Sony Pictures Television.

Filming for Season 1 of “Pluribus” has wrapped, but the show is already greenlit for Season 2, so keep a close eye on our streamer casting calls for updates as soon as we have them. Until then, check out these pages for even more projects in search of talent:
