Commercial casting for teenage dancer
Bex Pashley, founder of Llaudi Creative, is casting for a dancer to feature in an upcoming commercial. The supporting role is for a dancer, female, aged 18–19 and any ethnicity. You’ll need to be a great all-around performer, adept at TikTok dance moves, and ideally a performer with an edgy look. The commercial shoots in July in Zurich, Switzerland (TBC because of lockdown rules). The role is paid a basic studio fee of £350 plus a travel day fee of £175 and a rehearsal day fee (if needed) of £350. The buyout is £2,450. Learning platform casting performers to host videos
Learning platform Intech Centre are seeking native English-speaking actors, with a background in English teaching, to record educational videos. Recordings will start from beginner and move to advanced levels and include elocution videos and audio. The team are looking for performers of any gender, any ethnicity, and aged 18+. You’ll need to be presentable, well-spoken and able to teach topics while reading from a teleprompter or screen. Experience of teaching English is a must. Short coming-of-age film The Mourning Bird explores adolescence, morality, and grief through the story of a family dealing with the murder of a young man. Following his brother Ky, the film sees the teenager learning to navigate bereavement and face a world without his brother. The team are casting for lead role Ky, male, playing age 12–16, and black. Supporting role Elijah is male, playing age 14–16 and black or mixed-race. And T is male, playing ages 18–24 and black. London Film Academy short casting now
Short student film Abatu is a dark thriller about a young man searching for an end to his inner demons. Constantly jealous of others and trying to better himself, Cameron decides to risk “a solution from a supernatural entity.” The team from London Film School are casting for supporting role The Madam, female, playing age 35–65, and any ethnicity. The Madam is a mythic creature grown from the soil, tricksy, and always looking for the next victim. The performer must be comfortable wearing prosthetics and contact lenses.
