This time one year ago, Lin-Manuel Miranda was gearing up for his masterpiece “Hamilton” to inevitably sweep at the impending Tony Awards. But this time 10 years ago, Miranda was a fledgling talent who, like many, looked to television appearances to pad his résumé (and, likely, his wallet).
Before Tonys, Grammys, a Pulitzer Prize, and an Oscar nomination, Miranda made a blink-and-you’ll miss it cameo in this 2007 episode of HBO’s “The Sopranos.” Portraying a hotel bellhop questioned by the antiheroic Tony Soprano (the late James Gandolfini), you’d never know that in a decade’s time Miranda would be one of the most celebrated names in show business.
