With more than 100 original shows featuring over 5,000 performers—and thousands of standing ovations—STILETTO Entertainment is celebrating two decades of providing first-class spectacles on cruise ships.

On any given night, one of STILETTO’s original musicals, dance revues, or concerts is likely playing on a ship somewhere in the world. “Our amazing creative staff of Emmy, Tony and Oscar nominees or recipients has created some of the best entertainment on the high seas,” said president and CEO Garry Kief in a statement.

The company’s productions stretch back to the first original book musical performed on a cruise ship, “Barry Manilow’s Copacabana.” STILETTO’s lengthy list includes “Could It Be Magic” on Holland America Line’s Statendam and the recent award-winning “Theatre At Sea” shows. Such productions provide actors of various performance backgrounds steady work while traveling the globe.

Casting directors James Nadeau and Jodie Dorner travel the globe to audition singers and dancers, many of whom move on to Broadway shows or national tours, including “Aladdin,” “Pippin,” and “Mamma Mia!”. “We’ve seen families formed in front of our eyes,” said Dorner in a statement. “As cast members go out to sea to perform in our shows, they meet officers and fellow crew members and return for several more contracts before settling down to raise the next generation of singers and dancers.”

Performing on a cruise ship with a production company as high caliber as STILETTO is a great opportunity to strengthen and hone skills. For more information and a list of audition locations and dates, visit www.stilettotheatricals.com.
