“I wasted a lot of time early on with unproductive rage that it wasn’t happening quickly enough for me,” says decorated character actor and director Tim Blake Nelson. “Which is pretty ridiculous now that I look back on it because it has all worked out very well.” Sitting with Backstage in promotion of the Oscar-nominated Coen brothers film, “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” and HBO’s television adaptation of “Watchmen,” Nelson is a testament to playing the waiting game and knowing everything happens for a reason.
