Fans of dark romantic thrillers like “You” and “The Perfect Couple” will soon have a new obsession. Starring Dove Cameron (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) and Avan Jogia (“Orphan Black: Echoes”), “56 Days” is a psychological drama about a whirlwind relationship with deadly consequences.
Executive producers Lisa Zwerling (“The Rook,” “ER”) and Karyn Usher (“Prison Break”) adapted the series from Catherine Ryan Howard’s 2021 novel of the same name. All eight episodes drop Feb. 18 on Prime Video. Read on for a closer look at the plot, casting directors, and more.

As revealed in a Prime Video press release, the story will unfold by intercutting the present-day murder investigation with flashbacks to the lovers’ short-lived affair. “The series is both a unique crime story and a riveting, sexy, psychological thriller,” it says.
