Based on the Capcom video game franchise created by Hideki Kamiya, Netflix’s “Devil May Cry” focuses on Dante, a hunter who’s determined to destroy all demons as vengeance for his mother’s death. Like its action-adventure source material, Dante finds himself battling the demon invasion from two fronts: He must battle the White Rabbit, a powerful, demonic terrorist hellbent on merging the human and demon worlds, while also being hunted by Dark Realm Command, aka Darkcom, the government organization led by Vice President William Baines. Having been orphaned after his mom was killed, Dante will stop at nothing to prevent demons from overtaking the Earth.
Gene Vassilaros cast and voice directed “Devil May Cry” Season 1. The CD is best known for his work with Nickelodeon, where he helped cast a number of series such as “The Legend of Korra” (2012–2014), “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (2012–2017), and “Blaze and the Monster Machines” (2014–2025).
