Scott Foley (“Scandal”) and Erinn Hayes (“Childrens Hospital”) lead the charge on “It’s Not Like That.” Crafted by Ian Deitchman and Kristin Rusk Robinson, the screenwriting duo behind 2010’s rom-com “Life as We Know It,” the family drama premieres May 15 on Prime Video, after initially running on the Wonder Project streaming channel earlier this year.

Set in Atlanta, the story follows Lori Soto (Hayes), a recently divorced mother of two, and Malcolm Jeffries (Foley), a widowed minister raising three kids. Once close friends, the pair reconnect as they navigate single parenthood and the challenges of rebuilding their lives and families.
Deitchman and Robinson are co-showrunners as well as executive producers. Foley, Garrett Lerner (“The Good Doctor”), Jon Erwin (“House of David”), Justin Rosenblatt (“Flack”), Jon Gunn (“The Unbreakable Boy”), Brad Silberling (“Jane the Virgin”), and Alex Goldstone (“Dickinson”) also executive produce. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
