The series’ co-creators and showrunners are Ian Deitchman and Kristin Rusk Robinson (“Suits,” “Carnival Row,” “Life as We Know It”); it’s being produced by Amazon MGM Studios.

Set in Atlanta, “It’s Not Like That” follows Lori (Hayes), a recently divorced mother of two, and Malcolm (Foley), a widowed minister raising three kids. Once close friends, the pair reconnect as they navigate single parenthood, modern faith, and the challenges of rebuilding their lives and families. The series explores grief, grace, and second chances with humor and heart.
