Actor Danny Bristow has only been using Backstage for six months, but he has already booked two very different gigs. His first was a music video for the song “Burden You,” in which he depicted a basketball player, and his second was a short film called “Estrella,” in which he played a background café patron.
From the start, both opportunities allowed him to learn about the business and about himself as an actor. “The [auditions were] amazing,” Bristow recalls. “I learned a lot and was able to have fun and be myself.” The education continued throughout the production on both jobs. “Working on the projects, I listened and learned how to be a professional and was able to help the crew with anything they needed.”
Like the wise talent he is, Bristow uses Backstage every day to find roles that cater to his personality and natural strengths as an actor. He even receives updates through Twitter and Facebook to ensure he never misses out on a part he could be right for. “What makes me continue to use Backstage is its resources,” he says, also noting its “consistency and commitment to the film industry in every way.”
