“Succession” Season 4 Cast Updates
Just two weeks ahead of the Emmys, the hit HBO drama series is ramping up its casting and bringing back some familiar faces. First reported by Deadline, Dagmara Domińczyk, Alexander Skarsgård, Arian Moayed, Juliana Canfield, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Hope Davis, Cherry Jones, Justin Kirk, and Stephen Root will all be back in Season 4 of “Succession.” As of now, it’s unclear how many episodes the actors will be returning for as production is still considering guest/recurring actors. However, as the drama continues to heat up, at least a few of those actors will be a part of pivotal plot lines.
The series follows the Roys, the family behind the world's biggest media and entertainment company. Led by Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, and J. Smith-Cameron, “Succession” is heading into this year’s Emmys leading the pack with 25 nominations. (Three of the returning actors, Skarsgård, Moayed, and Davis, are among those nominated for their guest roles.)
Jesse Armstrong is the series creator and continues to serve as showrunner and an executive producer with Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Will Ferrell, and more.
For those interested in joining the hit series, “Succession” is currently filming the fourth season in and around New York City (mainly Manhattan and Queens). While there aren’t any active casting notices, the series has been seeking background talent. Back in July, production was looking for actors, aged 21 and older, to portray upscale event guests. So, be sure to bookmark our New York City casting call roundup as well as our resource for background work for future opportunities.
