Two Orlando, Florida-based male actors, aged 20–60, are sought for a key supporting role and an additional day-player role in a cosmic horror narrative short film about a rogue detective embarking on a manhunt across state lines and uncovering something darker than expected. Talent will work in October or November. Pay is $150 for the day player and $300 per day for three days of work for the supporting role, with food provided.

“The Owl”
Casting is underway for “The Owl,” a short narrative psychological horror/uncanny thriller about a woman driving north on a freezing New England night to commit a calculated act of violence while her 19-year-old sister pursues her. East Coast actors, aged 18 and older, are sought for several on-camera and voiceover roles, including the lead role of Lily. Principal photography is targeted for Summer 2027 in Somerville, Lowell, and the Greater Boston, Massachusetts, area. Pay is $150–$1,800 for up to six days of work with a copy, credit, meals, and local travel/mileage reimbursement provided.

“Smudge”
“Smudge,” a short horror film set in a shopping mall that follows a predator and a date he can’t refuse, is seeking two male actors, aged 22 and older, to play the protagonist and the antagonist. The role of the antagonist will require full-frontal non-sexual nudity; talent will work on a closed set with an intimacy coordinator available. Filming will take place in Montreal in late September and late October/early November. Pay is CA$250–$500 for 2–4 days of work.

“The Time Tapes”
Join the cast of “The Time Tapes,” an indie analog horror web series shot in found-footage style and following two lifelong best friends—one dying and one on a mission to save him—who build a time machine in a garage. Two Minnesota-based male actors, aged 18–30, are sought for the starring role. Principal photography will begin in late August near Plymouth. “Honeycomb,” Working Title
“Honeycomb,” a horror featurette set around a high school formal and graduation, is currently casting an Australian male actor, age 16–21, to play the lead role of Joey, a popular, handsome, and protective high school student. Auditions will be held by appointment on Oct. 8 in Brisbane or Melbourne. Talent will work over three weeks in November in Brisbane or Melbourne. Pay is an estimated AU$6,500.

“Exemplum”
Ikon Films is now casting “Exemplum,” a psychological horror film following a guarded young woman who takes a routine cat-sitting job for an elderly neighbor, only to discover she is trapped in a dark, generational ritual that forces her into a physical battle for survival. Talent, aged 18 and older, is sought for several roles, including the lead roles of June and Mara. One of the lead roles will require the ability to speak Russian or a Slavic language or be willing/able to learn a few Russian lines. Production is also hiring multiple crew positions, including a director of photography and a costume designer. Filming is scheduled for two weeks in January 2027 in West New York, New Jersey. Pay is $250 per day for actors for up to 12 days of work. Crew will be paid depending on position, ranging from $15–$20 per hour to $250–$550 per day. On-set meals will be provided.
