Emmy award-winning actress Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black”) will star alongside Jake Johnson (“New Girl”) on Apple TV’s upcoming series “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.” Billed as a dark comedy thriller, the series comes from creator and writer David Rosen (“Sugar,” “Hunters”), who is also executive producing and showrunning. The first two episodes premiere on May 20, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through July 15. The show follows newly divorced mom Paula (Maslany) as she tries to rebuild her life. In between a custody battle and youth soccer practices, Paula witnesses a crime—or does she? She begins her own investigation of the incident, leading her into a rabbit hole of conspiracy and blackmail that threatens to unravel everything she’s gained so far.

Emmy winner Sharon Bialy of Bialy/Thomas & Associates is the CD. David Gordon Green (“The Righteous Gemstones,” “Scarpetta”) directs and executive produces. The series is also developed and executive produced by Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon for Genre Films and Bard Dorros for Anonymous Content.
Bialy, who’s worked on projects such as “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “Breaking Bad,” shared in an interview with us that staying humble is key for actors to make a memorable impression in the audition room. “We’re all in this because we love to tell stories, so what makes me remember an actor is an actor who went in to tell the story, not the actor who is in there because of the ego,” she said.
