The myth that actors need to be located in New York or Los Angeles to get a talent agent and book work was dispelled long ago. In fact, finding success in local markets has never been easier. Remote work has been on the rise over the last two years, and the boom of streaming content means more opportunities for filming outside of the big two coastal markets. More cities are becoming film and TV production hubs, including Orlando, Florida.

If you are an actor in the area, there are many great Orlando talent agencies ready and able to help you get to work. We’ve rounded up a few of the top acting agencies in the region for union and nonunion performers of all ages—and also for those who are just getting started in the industry.

Slate Model & Talent Agency

For more than two decades, Slate has been one of South Florida’s leading professional talent agencies for actors, models, hosts, and more. Though it’s located in Orlando, the agency offers representation nationwide. Slate specializes in print work, trade and runway shows, special events, commercials, film, and television. Prospective talent can submit directly through the agency’s website.

Central Florida Talent

Central Florida Talent is one of the region’s premiere talent and modeling agencies—and for good reason. Owner and president Jacqueline Hazen-Levine got her start in the business as a model for Central Florida Talent herself before realizing her true passion was helping actors and models achieve their goals. The agency is always looking to onboard new talent, from infants to senior citizens “and every age in between.” Submissions directly through CFT’s website are welcome.

Level Talent Group

Level Talent Group is a SAG-franchised talent agency that represents both union and nonunion actors and models across film, television, commercials, and print. Level’s approach is very hands-on—agents work closely with talent to nurture and develop their skill sets and maximize their opportunities. Founded by industry veteran Kelly Paige, Level Talent Group has been representing actors of all ages and experiences levels for the last 18 years.

22Talent

Priding itself on its “small but mighty roster of actors,” 22Talent represents performers working across commercials, television, and film. Located in the heart of Orlando, 22Talent’s roster covers both adults and children. Why 22, you ask? Well, according to founder Susan Fronsoe, the number bears special power and means that “we can master anything we set our minds to.”

The Diamond Agency

Originally formed in the late 1990s as a print agency, the Diamond Agency has gone on to become a full-service lead in both national and international projects across resorts, theme parks, hotels, fashion and runway, film and television, and more. The agency has divisions across specialties to further meet talent’s individual needs. In addition to its Orlando offices, Diamond also operates out of Atlanta, making it a dominating force across the entire Southeast. Actors and models—as well as talent under the age of 18—are encouraged to apply directly through the company’s website.

Paradym Group

Paradym Group’s goal is to be a one-stop shop for all clients’ career needs—which means it’s a great place for multifaceted talent to call home. Specializing in events, Paradym is the go-to for trade shows, conventions, street teams, guerilla marketing, brand ambassadors, and spokespeople. If that sounds like work you’d like to do, you can sign up through Paradym’s website.

ABN Talent Agency

A SAG-AFTRA–franchised agency, ABN has been operating out of Orlando for more than 30 years. Former personal manager Heidi Nunes founded the agency, and she’s now the CEO and president. She specializes in finding young talent and helping them get from Florida to New York and L.A. Interested parties can contact ABN directly through its website for more information.

Lock Talent

Lock Talent is a full-service agency representing actors across film, television, commercials, industrials, and print throughout the Southeast. Lock thrives on matching the right talent with the right project. Actors from its roster have appeared in hundreds of national commercials, as well as in feature films and on television projects on Netflix and Disney+. The agency’s motto is simple: “We are professionals representing professionals.” Interested talent can submit directly through the website.
